Baptism (also known as Christening) is a sign of being a follower of Christ and a member of his church. We welcome for baptism all those who want to make this step of commitment, either for themselves or on their children’s behalf. At St John’s we invite all candidates for baptism, (or their parents in the case of children) to attend a preparatory meeting. This is usually a Wednesday evening (on Zoom) when we can explain everything that goes on in the Baptism service itself. Baptisms are now taking place on various dates during our Contemporary Service -which is currently at 11.15 but due to change in September to 10.45.
